Well, I too have the 'black screen of death' syndrome.
A pity, because the latest firmware updates had kept it in steady state for months.
I took the back off, and even replaced the button battery within hoping this would fix it but to no avail.
Henry said 'it needs to reflash the firmware' and asked if I had a mini USB port on the side ( no, just micro SD slot)
I contacted Henry again, who offered a new display for $70 and I replied but not heard back in over a week...he is usually quick to respond.
Neil, was the HP 2000 replacement just the base unit or the whole kit?
