Neil, they are making improvements all the time and with regular firmware updates. They also respond to queries promptly so I am satisfied. I reported the UV sensor issue and they state that later models have an improved array.
For under $300, I still think its a good unit. I am not sure there is anything better before forking out for a Davis unit.
